Professions that assist renovations.

There are a host of participants in most renos that extend beyond the actual General contractor or trades people on the job site.  Quite often there are designers, architects, engineers, and product suppliers who have roles to play.  A successful renovation relies on these other partners to bring continuity to a job and I would go so far as to say they factor heavily towards achieving a blended cohesive final look which is safe and comfortable to use after everyone has cleared out.  You want friends and family to say your house looks great and ‘What exactly did you do”?  Not, “I guess they did that addition in the summer of 1982″.  Building and Development permits often require engineering and this specific requirement aids the building inspection process tremendously.  Make sure when you discuss your build that these other partners become part of the equation.  I guarantee the expense of having these partners involved will add tremendously to the livability of the finished space.
